This paper aims to show the solution of the "substance-free substance" dilemma proposed by Rainer Forst in his book “Contexts of Justice” resulting from the controversy between liberals and communitarians about the democracy’s ethos: what unites the citizens among themselves and how can this union exist without it interfering in ethical ties. Forst's proposal goes through the defense of an intersubjective deliberative democracy, such as Habermas, and culminates in particularizing justification’s contexts.
