The purpose of this paper is to provide a critical review of the Btazilian edition of the book "Facing Gaia: Eight Lectures on the New Climatic Regime", by Bruno Latour. The review is accompanied by a brief analysis of the meaning taken by Gaia for the author, a notion he enlists in his battle for the transformation of scientific, sensual and political practices regarding the climate catastrophe.
