The article presented results from an ethnographic research carried out through participatory observation in three groups of WhatsApp of Bolsonaro supporters, in which the contents of the conversations and other types of publications shared in them were examined in order to promote the political engagement of those who recognize themselves as conservatives, especially by the president from Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, and by the polemicist and self-styled philosopher, Olavo de Carvalho. The objective of this investigation was to identify: 1) the alignment of the negative narratives of the Covid-19 pandemic and the sanitary measures aimed at its control with the speeches that have been managed to guarantee support and stability to the Bolsonaro government; and 2) to highlight the so-called cultural war as a device of disinformation that acts as a war machine from the use of WhatsApp, presented as a technical machine.
